This 2018 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 40mm Crafted entirely in 18 ct white gold, this striking 40 mm case model features the iconic design language of the Rolex Daytona line. The white-gold bezel is engraved with the classic tachymetric scale to measure speed over distance. The dial features round brilliant factory diamonds and red “Daytona” text above the 6 o’clock chronograph sub-dial. The solid white-gold Oyster bracelet and folding Oysterlock clasp reinforce the watch’s premium presence and luxury finishing.
The Cosmograph Daytona was originally launched in 1963 as a chronograph built for racing drivers, combining timing functionality with style. The reference 116509 entered production in 2016 as a full white-gold variant of the Daytona and uses Rolex’s in-house Calibre 4130 movement — an automatic chronograph calibre with approximately 72 hours of power reserve, known for its robustness and performance.
